An invocation is a way of bringing out the best in you. In the yogic culture, Invocations are usually in Sanskrit, an ancient language that directly connects sounds with forms.

Using sounds to activate the human system is the basis of Naad Yoga, or the Yoga of sound. An invocation is a very simple form of Prem Naad Yoga.

We live in a sea of sound. Prem Naad Yoga is the yoga of sound. Within the yoga family, Naad Yoga is the most direct path to ultimate mastery and self-realization. Naad means, “the essence of all sounds through which the Infinite can be experienced.” Through contemplation, which is essentially an inner listening, we tune in to our mind and soul: we become aware of the emotions that drive us, the motives that animate our mind and the longing of our soul. Even in silence, we can hear the beat of our own hearts. Naad yoga is one of the oldest forms of yoga, wherein sound effects, vibrations and resonances are observed for an effect on psychological and spiritual conditions. Practicing Naad Yoga is closely related to streamlining of energy centers, i.e. chakras, which is known to raise the level of awareness and energy simultaneously. In the yoga mudra, sound and music are the sensory properties that establish a link with outer and the inner cosmos.

The sounds we hear around us affect our health and vitality. The Universe is made up of vibration and sound is not only a most potent tool in maintaining and creating our sense of well-being, but also can be used to heal the body, mind, and spirit.
Naad is based on an ancestral and universal alphabet of emotions with 22 letters, called Shruti (Musical notes) that shape the human mood, clear your mind, meditation. Behind the technique is a beautiful experience of relief, life and fulfillment. Projected onto the musical scale, the emotional signatures , also called “Raag”. In resonance with your personal canvas of experiences you can compose and , letting love and anger, coolness and passion, longing and morning find their place with beauty and grace.

By listening to music set in Raags – specific moods translated into music – we create a bridge between our inner world and the outer world. This bridge allows us to directly communicate with our mind, alter our emotional state and to better understand our inherent nature.  As a vocal and instrumental practice Ragas, Naad Yoga is rooted in the science of sound from ancient India from 5000 years ago.
Yantra means ‘tool’. A musical instrument is a helpful yantra, supporting the voice and reflecting the player’s state of being.
Tantra means ‘knowledge’ or ‘technique’. It includes the skills of singing and playing an instrument, the knowledge of the rules of the Raags and their effects on the psyche
Mantra means the power of a particular sound to effect change – to re-mould our experience in an instant, thereby creating a solution. When yantra and tantra come together as instrument, musical technique and knowledge of the Raga, there is the potential for a mantra to be created, provided the person engages his or her soul and life experience with the making of the sound.
Mantra, rhythm, and breath used together can create a healing response in the immune system.
Neuroscience confirms that emotional processing and thinking are structurally linked. Therefore Naad Yoga creates the conditions for your awareness to rise, in addition to clearing your mind and reestablishing peace and health. In Prem Naad Yoga, awareness flows through the senses. Hearing comes first, as with the embryo. Playing also activates touch and visualization. Ultimately, all senses are involved, at a deep level of listening and meditation, opening a path to wisdom, self-control and yogic mastery.
Yoga is a technology meant to enhance our inherent human capability through the realisation of truth, enabling us to be at one with everything. Truth is not exclusive to any particular religion (though they may all have originated in it). It is equally accessible to everyone.
Experiencing a session of Naad yoga with us is a sound bath which will give you new dimension of not only Yoga practice but a different view of this life itself.
